It is a cold and rainy day in Missouri. There have been massive tornado outbreaks in Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa but so far it has bypassed Missouri although we have had lots of rain.
Today is Sharayah Lee's birthday and 19 years ago I was traveling across Iowa in a snow storm trying to get to Montana before she was born. I was working in Rock Island when I got the news she was on the way so I took off immediately and instantly ran into snow. I didn't make it in time for her birth but the nurses were very good about keeping me appraised of the progress.
We went to a regular dance in Rolla at the invitation of Tom and Lana VanDoren. It was nice to waltz again but we spent most of the evening just visiting with friends.
